We offer classes through several partners, as well as our own registration site. Classes typically meet for 3-5 weeks, changing often. Check these sites for sewing classes (hint: Look for Instructor Colleen)
Hosted in our studio on Prior Ave, we offer a variety of classes from the famous Sewing for the Terrified, skills classes to improve seams and zippers, fitting, fabric dyeing, pattern work, and more. My classes with St Paul Adult Education fill very quickly, so go don’t delay if you are interested! Here’s what I have planned for April thru June via St Paul Community Education:
- Simple Alterations, Mondays, April 7-21, 6-8pm (full)
- Fit Clinic (I fit, you sew) on April 23
- Sewing with Knits, April 28-May 19, 6-8pm (one seat left)
- How to Buy Fabric, June 10-July 1, 7-9pm
Over at the Textile Center, we have a very fun partnership with Goldstein Museum of Design. We get to have an exclusive behind-the-curtain look at specially selected garments from the 20th century, some with impressive designer labels. Analyze, measure, inspect, and look inside over a dozen garments to inspire your own creations! We’ll spend two days at GMD and then 4 days at Textile Center building your own designer-inspired project.
All of the St Paul Community Ed classes are also offered on Eventbrite for more enrollment options.
- Sewing with Knits, April 5-May 3, 1-3pm
- How to Buy Fabric, April 5-May 3, 9:30-12pm
- Simple Alterations, May 10-24, 2-4pm.
