Stitch Masters Community Activities

We offer several community activities as part of our nonprofit outreach mission. Here are some locations where you might find Colleen teaching, supported by the grants in these areas. If you are interested in joining one of these communities, click on the links to be taken to their websites for more information.

Minnesota 4H - Thursday nights for ages 13+

Prior Lake Indian School - Wednesday evenings

St Anthony Village Schools

The only Twin Cities area 4H club devoted exclusively to sewing, Jr Stitch Masters participants meet every Thursday during the school year. We work on a variety of age and development-appropriate skills for teens ages 13+. Our participants regularly win trips to the State Fair and take home champion ribbons.

Colleen learned to sew in 4H, and is committed to providing free sewing education to any teen enrolled in this program.

Prior Lake Indian School is open for free instruction to Native Americans* enrolled in Prior Lake-Savage schools. We work on regalia-building skills on Wednesday nights. If you are interested in learning the technical “how to” for making regalia, come check us out.

*must be enrolled/related to enrolled tribe member, please click for details

Colleen regularly guest teaches in the Fashion classes for students taking FACS education at St Anthony Village high school. This term (Fall 2024) we’re learning about clothing careers and starting to sew.

If your Twin Cities FACS class would like a guest teacher, please reach out!
